The Zar is a budget hotel and as such, understandably, there are few amenities other than a bottle of water for each guest. The rooms were clean and spacious allowing us room for two kennels for each of our dogs. All the staff encountered were friendly and accommodating. The hotel could do with a couple of luggage dolleys, but the receptionist offered to help bring in luggage for us. A special bonus with this hotel was area behind the hotel offered a fenced in green space which our dogs enjoyed, but I hope other dog owning guests staying here are courteous and clean up after their dogs.

Wonderful surprise!

Our only disappointment was that there was construction occurring (non intrusive) and we had just left the renovations at our home. The service and room were great. Clean, spacious room, excellent bed, quiet and pet friendly, we were pleasantly surprised for the price. This will be a returning spot when we are on that side of Guadalajara!

Great A/C. It is located near by a train rail, so every 2-3 hours a train goes by. Not good for light sleepers.

Horrible.

The room was filthy. No hot water for a shower in the evening. Asked for an extra blanket for the night and was told that it was not possible.
