We had an epic day. Oct. 10th we sat at Slough Creek and watched 15 wolves and a grizzly bear. Later we saw a big bull moose beded down. Drove a little farther and scoped up 5 mountain goats, 5 wolves and 2 more grizzlies. EPIC DAY!!

Yellowstone National Park is a magical place. Please don't try to see it all in a day or two. It takes at least 3-4 days to see the major sights.

Yellowstone is a beautiful, unique national park. We were disappointed at the low number of animal's we saw roaming in the park. So plan to enjoy the landscape and hope for a sighting as well.

The signage could improve but we were there right after they opened the roads from snow, therefore some could have been plowed over or still covered in snow.

Give yourself an extra half hour for travel thru the park because of the Bison.

I'm sure this has been said before but in this age of technology, I find it very strange that The park doesn't have any Wi-Fi. Even the hotel lobby didn't have any Wi-Fi. This is very unusual.
"We loved this place! Rooms were super clean. Bed was awesome. There is nothing around you but other cabins, squirrels & chipmunks. Be prepared to bring food or eat at restaurant which is a little pricey. Camp store sells alcohol which is a bonus. No TVs in room which was a nice surprise. Nice walking path down to River. "
"Beautiful area with a stunning buffalo greeting us walking across the lawn at check in. We ventured behind our cabin and found a herd of elk feeding together we watched from a safe distance. It's close to Hayden Valley for more wildlife searching and we found a wolf and a bull elk and more buffalo. The food was good and service quick at the soda fountain style dining option. The grocery store has a great selection as well as grab and go food. the cabin was quaint and comfortable"
"Absolutely wonderful place! Clean, fun atmosphere, and historic! The staff was wonderful and we were able to walk to the Main Street. It’s located just a few mins to the entrance of Yellowstone Park."
"It was a good and comfortable place a bit expensive but the rates were good considering the time of year and our short notice. Staff was very friendly."
"Easy access to the park but far enough from the Main Street that it was super quiet. They have an ice machine so that was great to have for our travel ice chest. Breakfast was just what we needed. It rotated daily - eggs, sausage links or biscuits, gravy - but also has the regulars- toast, bagels, cereal, etc.
Front desk was super helpful with park advice, food recommendations and everything else!
Will stay again when we come back!!
Thanks Westgate!!"
