The hotel is quite outdated and is currently undergoing renovations. Unfortunately, both rooms we were shown had a noticeable smoke smell. However, the staff was extremely kind, patient, and accommodating. They did everything they could to help, including moving us to another room and providing an air purifier, which helped somewhat. The location is very convenient and close to many attractions and restaurants. While the hotel itself could use some updating, the excellent staff and convenient location were definitely positives.

Though the hotel isn’t new and the facilities are somewhat worn, the location could not be better — everything is nearby. A shopping complex with a Starbucks and food court is right next door. Still, the hotel’s greatest asset is its staff. Our first room reeked of cigarette smoke, despite the hotel being completely smoke‑free. We called the front desk, and staff swiftly moved us to a new room and assisted with our luggage. The concierge team delivered great service as well. Tank and other staff were responsive to our questions and gave us fantastic local tips. Housekeeping performed wonderfully too. They observed we liked using extra towels to avoid wet floors and thoughtfully provided spares without being requested. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay.

Comfortable stay for several days.

The hotel has a very convenient location, with a few minutes' walk to Yong Ning Men Subway Station. It is easily accessible to a number of places of interest. The staff members are extremely friendly.

I really enjoyed the stay in this hotel. Staff were very helpful and responsive. 3 examples below: 1) When I asked about the possibility to rent a car and hire a driver for a day, the front desk actually suggested that I take a taxi instead because the former option is way more expensive. 2) When I reached out that the toilet is kind of clotted, the front desk responded: " Is it convenient for you that I send someone to your room right now?" 3) The breakfast had a discounted price only if you pay with Wechat or Meituan. I didn't have either one. The lady offered that I can pay her and then she pay for me using her Wechat. All the rooms are on the periphery, leaving a large space in the center, so you don't feel suffocated as in most hotels. Rooms were clean. I liked the magnetic hair dryer. Upon opening the closet, the light turns on automatically. Really considerate design. You can check out as late as 2 pm without any additional cost. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Excellent Experience at Dajing Castle Hotel We had an amazing stay at Dajing Castle. The staff was incredibly kind, and Miss Vivian was absolutely wonderful. She explained everything in detail, helped us arrange a taxi, and was extremely friendly and attentive throughout our stay. Her warmth felt truly genuine, and we deeply appreciate her dedication. The hotel itself has a classic charm, with a cozy atmosphere that made us feel comfortable right away. The room was clean, warm, and equipped with both heating and air conditioning, which made everything even more pleasant. The location couldn’t be better, uper convenient, and the view is beautiful. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly, but we especially want to thank Vivian for making our stay unforgettable. I would love to come back to this hotel again.

Overall a comfortable and good stay. Staff are friendly and greet you every time they see you. Room is spacious but you may get one that had a cigarette smell..make sure you open the windows to get the smell out. Very close to MRT which is a bonus. But food wise, thats hard to find without walking in early morning. Shopping centre food court dont open until 10am. Definitely value for money. Should consider their breakfast option included in the room rate.

The Grand Park Xi’an is very well located in view of the historic South Gate of the old city wall. Our room overlooked the large plaza/traffic circle in front of the gate. There was always something new happening there, from piped music, to actors in period costumes, to fountains and lights. That was fun for us, but if you are sensitive to noise, bring earplugs or ask for a room off the plaza; the windows are single pane. The Muslim Quarter is a relatively short walk and the subway #2 line entrance is right across the street. The bathroom could use an upgrade, and the breakfast buffet included a large variety of options to cater international tastes, but overall was ‘meh’, but the location was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful, hence the 5-star rating. I would stay there again.

Excellent location

Starting at 10 points. -1 for smoking room when asked for non smoking room. -1 for no spa. -1 for too easy to mix up the do not disturb with clean room sign (same colour, seems to override the other do not disturb wall sign). +1 for excellent location. Overall 8/10 is fair. Would have been lower if the manager didn’t sort multiple issues quickly.
