My wife couldnt have a shower as water too cold, also no warm water to have wash in the bathroom sink. Also could not wash dishes as no hot water in kichen sink. "I've stayed at Old Silk Appartments twice so far in apartments 8 and 9. Both I found spotless, white soft towels, comfy beds, tastefully decorated well maintained and adequately appointed. Large fridge freezer, 4 ring hob oven and microwave, basic set of kitchen utensils and a couple of pans adequate to cook something simple. "The location was close to the high street and conveniently accessible to nearby attractions in the Cotswolds. The house was cozy and warm, making it a great choice for a family winter getaway for a few days. However, there were a few minor details that could be improved, such as the TV remote lacking batteries (we had to purchase and replace them ourselves) and the kitchen knives being quite dull, which made them difficult to use. These small points aside, we had an enjoyable stay overall."

"Room was clean and well laid out - was good value for a suite and second room was well separated from bedroom for separation between parents and child. Bed was fairly comfy and on a hot day they did everything they could to cool the room down - windows opened and fan provided. Windows opened to rear of hotel so was nice and quiet. Dining room was nicely done out, breakfast was fine though only egg option on buffet was fried and not much selection in cereals or pastries. The teenage waiter looking at his phone most of the time also wasn't a great look. Hotel was conveniently located and parking at back seemed secure, although entrance and spaces were a bit narrow. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to stay here again, but if I needed to stay in the area I wouldn't avoid it."

"This charming hotel is conveniently located just a few minutes walk crossing the footpath bridge over the River Avon to The Royal Shakespeare Company Theater, Holy Trinity Church, Shakespeare’s birthplace, local restaurants, shopping and things to see. Beautiful area! My room was modest yet very clean & comfortable, the front desk team was courteous, and the breakfast included with my stay was a nice surprise (basic options of coffee/tea/baked goods/yogurt/cereals and fruit) and I enjoyed the delicious egg scramble for an extra cost. The Bear is a cozy downstairs pub adjacent to the lobby and serves traditional English pub food- I had an acceptable serving of fish and chips with mushy peas and a drink before heading out to see a play at The RSC! (There is also a fine dining restaurant, Bistrot Pierre, adjacent to the lobby I did not eat at, however, I heard good reviews in town from others about it). I recommend this lovely, quiet, and well maintained property and plan to come back! The photo of Ferris wheel is the view from my room. Others about town …"

Walton Hall Hotel & Spa by Sunday

"I had booked a weekend for my parents in one of the superior rooms in the main house. When they checked in they were informed of where to park outside the main house. As we drove round there were a variety of barriers preventing us from parking, we were then informed that we would not be allowed to park as there was a wedding happening the following day. We were informed to park a distance from the main house and my parents to walk further (disabled parking was unavailable). My father, who struggles to walk and is 82 was left expected to walk much further than he was cable of. The folllowing evening when I dropped them back at the hotel only to find out that they were directly over the wedding evening, and could not sleep because of the noise. They were moved rooms but this added to a later than they were usual too late night. At no point were we informed that there was a wedding event, They were due to leave the following day at 0630 to travel back to Ellesmere Port to miss traffic. My father after this ordeal slept the rest of the afternoon (which is unlike him). I feel the whole experience has been completely ruined and the communication and sympathy and understanding very lacking. At this stage, I would not recommend. We expect a call to discuss from the venue and hope their reaction will amend our extreme disappointment."

"Lovely 2 night stay, great value via Expedia. Was in the area for a concert at Warwick Arts, visits to Kenilworth Castle and Stoneleigh and proved ideal location. Not at all snooty or stuffy like some country hotels. Clean modern bathroom, comfortable bed, good breakfast, pleasant walks from hotel, well equipped gym. Lots of hotels in this area, glad we chose this one."
