「The hotel was lovely. Breakfast was great. Unfortunately on booking we didnt look at opening times. We booked to stay on a Monday. The hotel takes bed & breakfast bookings but the bar & restaurant isnt open on Mondays. So we had to drive 15 minutes to another village for food. Not what we realy wanted to do, but the luckily the other pub served food. It only says on opening time that the bar & restaurant is closed Mondays. It needs to more clearer on website as why would we look at...

「Great, lovely people」

「The hotel was a good base for the surrounding area. It was very clean and the staff were lovely and helpful. I've given it 4 stars on facilities because our room was quite small and didn't have a lot of room to manoevre around. Also we didn't realise when we booked that the pub didn't do food on the Sunday or Monday evenings and the bar closed early too. Overall a pleasant stay.」

「The property might be rated three star but the staff are rated five star in our mind. They were polite, attentive, efficient and engaging when spoken to. The hotel and the whole of Rutland we found to be really helpful and polite. It`s the way Norfolk used to be but is sadly lacking in a lot of establishments these days. Nice to see that hospitality is still alive and well in Rutland and surrounding areas, The hotel is looking a little tired but didn`t spoil our stay any way, shape or form....

「Stayed here for 3 nights do a conference locally and it was perfect. Friday enjoyed a beautiful meal in the restaurant. Staff went above and beyond. Very approachable if I had any questions. Looking forward to coming back next year! 」
