「Room size is not big but with clean and tidy feel. The best point is the mattress which is very comfortable. Location is very good that it’s near the bus station and easy to get around Oxford. Shops and restaurants are nearby. 」

「Staff are very friendly including the restaurant staff. This hotel represents good value for money and is comfortable. You can hear the trains in certain parts of the hotel which is mentioned in the hotel description, we stay at the weekend so it wasn’t really an issue but during the week I would opt for a room at the other side of the hotel which is clear when booking a room. If in the area would stay again.」

「On check in we were gifted an upgrade and given the option of two rooms which was quite unexpected. The staff were happy and chatty with us. We had a meal in the Thai restaurant which was really delicious. Nothing really to fault」

「In general the room was cozy and situated in a good location. However, since the second night, there was water leaking from upper floor, we have to use a bin to get the water. And, the door of the shower was broken and hardly closed. Wifi was not stable at all.」

The Red Lion was simply magnificent, the welcome super, pub ambiance super friendly all in all we will be attending and revisiting again The Red Lion is tucked away, just follow the sign as the place does ooz quality, has its own history which is fascinating its just great.
