「We had a lovely stay and were made to feel extremely welcome. The room was very clean, modern and comfortable. Walking distance from town and close to multi-storey carpark, which was useful. There was a great selection for breakfast and it was possible to choose what you wanted for a cooked breakfast. Fantastic, quirky stay with mugshots of criminals lining the walls and prison doors into rooms. Would definitely stay again」

「Clean rooms, very central for the town. Would recommend to anyone looking for a lovely place to stay in Winchester. Breakfast was good and enjoyed the pool. Although please note children only allowed for 1 hour in the morning which was a bit of a disappointment.」

「We had a lovely stay. Andrew was a great host and showed us everything we needed. The bar was humming and our dinner was fabulous.
We had a great nights sleep. The renovated bathroom was excellent and had a nice big shower. Room 2 was lovely overall.
Breakfast in the morning was excellent..
Overall we had a lovely overnight stay at the Cricketers Inn and would not hesitate to stay here again when in the area. 」

「Upon arrival, I was initially assigned an occupied room. The place was unstaffed, and the provided phone number was unreachable. I had to ask other guests for an alternative number. I called, texted, and left a WhatsApp message on that number, but received no response for at least an hour.When I finally received a text message with details for a new room, I found the bed was broken and the room was freezing cold. A staff member told me he would come to fix the issue but ultimately never showed...

「Terrible. Not at all as advertised. Front door was unlocked and open on arrival. Room door was open on arrival and unlockable. Room window was damaged and stuck wide-open, completely unclosable. I called the contact number and had no answer and received no call back. I arrived towards midnight at the property and still chose not to stay here.」
