「I had a wonderful nights stay in a king size bed in an extremely quiet farm away from normal life. There was a good view of the splendid fireworks from the Summer ball down in Tavistock that night, then waking up to a lovely cooked breakfast. The couple were very helpful throughout and I will book again. Don't expect modern day living just homely comfort and a great view of the countryside on a working farm.」

I was looking for somewhere with a bit of character, that was away from all the noise and bustle, had a good breakfast to set us up for the day and food available in the evening. I was not disappointed. The Weary Friar was such a great little find, a proper country pub with great food (nothing too fancy), friendly staff and peace and quiet to wake up to. Will definitely head there again!」
