"Allen's Budget Motel is kind of a happy blast from the past including old-fashioned cleanliness and a staff that goes above and beyond. This was our second stay, and we love the place. You can always count on Allen's Budget Motel being clean and cozy and staffed with great people. "

"Pleasantly surprised how nice and clean everything was. Staff were very accommodating at requests. Great place on the water. Bonfire at night was fun. I will stay here again. "
"We stay at this hotel at least twice a year and just love everything about it! Great service, great staff, great view and amenities. We recommend it to all of our friends!"
"Beautiful property on the shore of St. Lawrence River. We stayed in Cabin #1, which was clean, kitchen adequately equipped. Only caveat is this cabin is at the base of a surprisingly long stairway (we were told cabin was accessed by stairs, but not this many!), so moving in and out of the unit required significant aerobic ability. Also living room is oddly narrow, not a great family gathering area. But, wow! the view. We’ll definitely return, but stay in another cabin (hopefully #3, which is better laid out)."
"The location of the hotel is great. It's right on the water and our upper harbor room had great views especially Boldt castle. We also were able to watch the large ships passing by. Despite Uncle Sams Boat Tours being right next door to the hotel it was peacefully quiet. The private balcony with a table and chairs was a big plus.We loved our stay at Capt. Thomson's resort."
