We drove in from across Spain, and we were ready to unwind after a long journey; they made us feel at home - we loved it. This stay, albeit short, was one of the highlights of our trip. 「The property is well situated about half way if doing the Douro drive loop. Grounds are lovely with rooms overlooking vineyards - very serene and quiet. Lots of onsite parking. Staff encourage picking and eating fruit off the trees - the oranges are excellent! There is a nice pool area. At check in staff member was very helpful suggesting points of interest, restaurants, etc. The room and washroom was very dated with a large veranda. There was mold on the ceiling in the washroom. 「The property has stunning views and spacious rooms but lack little things like tissue or a waste basket. Our room wasn’t as clean as I expected with random hair in the bathroom. The bathroom had glass walls which is ok but a door for toilet privacy would be appreciated. The shower floor wasn’t tile but linoleum that gave way as you stepped on in. There is a restaurant and bar. Food was tasty. Did not use the pool or spa. 」
