「First I want to say that I love that this hotel is not all modern and shiny. I love the lighthouse decor and the quilted, homey comforters. The views of the lake are great and it’s right on the Mariner’s Trail. All but one of the staff members that we met were great. That being said, I really wish the would do some “infrastructure” upgrades. First and foremost, new mattresses and/or at least, bed springs. Water saving toilets would also be a plus. 「You pull up from the street and don’t quite know what to expect. However, everything is very clean, hard surface floors in the rooms, and the breakfast was quite enjoyable. In town for a weekend soccer tournament and this worked perfectly and we would stay again.」

「Overpriced and you can’t get any service. The front desk staff are not trained to do much. “I don’t know” was all I got. How are you tasked to work the front desk, where customers are expecting to be helped and you have to ask your manager about every question? I asked to change my form of payment and was told “ I don’t know how to do that”. I asked about late check out and was told “I have to ask my manager”. Very standard questions, no answers. 「When I arrived, I was a little worried as it is an older hotel and just didn't have the curb appeal of most hotels. I was pleasantly surprised. It is an older hotel that appears to be in transition and trying to be updated. Don't get me wrong this is no 4 or 5 star hotel but it was clean, in a great location and the front desk staff was kind and courteous. For the price, this hotel was perfect.
