「The Peace Lodge is a tranquil escape. There are not very many rooms, so the grounds are quiet. You get the opportunity to walk through the animal sanctuary on the grounds. The resort dog Rusty was very friendly and a welcome sight. The menus were on the expensive side and some more affordable options would be welcome, but the quality of the food was excellent.」

「This is our “go to” hotel when we go to the San Jose area. They’re like a 2nd family now. Any issues I might have with the room are addressed in a timely manner. All of the staff is very friendly and helpful. We feel safe there.」

「Lovely place to stay outside of the city but near enough to the airport that you can get there within half an hour. The garden was amazing (although not open at night sadly). We arrived after the restaurant was closed but the kitchen still did some room service for us which was kind. We didn't have any hot water but since travelling around Costa Rica, I think that was user error and its all to do with how much you turn the tap… We would definitely stay again. 」
