Absolutely NOT a 5 star and not a resort, just a 3 star hotel with a huge and noisy construction site next door. Room smells like fish and sewage. Unfortunately couldn’t get a refund and had to stay and deal with the stress and suffering of being stuck in there as hotel refused to refund. On last day lovely manager Lea organised one hour massage at the spa complimentary which was nice and restaurant food was nice but unfortunately overall experience was horrible. Didn’t use gym either as it was tiny room in the basement without windows and big enough for one or two people maximum. No money exchange service available. Luckily we have few more days in Bali and came to a quiet gorgeous real 5 star new modern resort with lovely forest surroundings, several restaurants and shops, saunas, steam rooms, spa pools, big gym overlooking the forest, few swimming pools and all the amenities as expected with a complimentary drinks and snacks in minibar included all at the same price as Kamala charged us. At least we can recover now from the stress of staying at Kamala.

Everything was perfect at this venue. Customer service, food, cleanliness, etc... I have been to many resorts around the world including 5 star venues in major US cities, but it's hard to find a service that comes close to this. I can't even begin to name every staff here who made our stay absolutely perfect. Arya, Miku, Lia, Rita, and everyone else (I can't remember all the names but they were ALL amazing) worked very hard to address any questions or request to make sure every minor detail to my stay was met. I would not even think twice to book here again and recommend my family and friends here.

We had a 2 bedroom villa. The 2 rooms were connected walking outside on the covered terrasse along the pool. A bit dodgy as we had our kids aged 5 and 8, so we enden up sleeping with a kid each in the 2 bedrooms. In fact it did not seem much like a villa as the seating area and kitchen were outside on the covered terrasse. There were no sun beds at our villa and looking at the neighbors villas ours were also the smallest of them. No way near the 170 sqm they wrote on hotels.com. Also the villa was quite worked down and needed some upgrading. So a bit disappointed on that part. However, the resort shared areas were wonderful and the staff extremely friendly. Very nice food at the Japanese restaurant and also breakfast at the Habitat overlooking the pool and jungle was excellent. Upon check-out we mentioned a few thinks that was wrong in the room, loose toilet and sewer smell, loose tap and other small bits and the friendly receptionist gave us a 10% discount on our bills from the restaurants and bar. That was good service again. All in all a nice hotel, but I would rate it a 4 star rather than a 5 star hotel.

We had an amazing relaxing stay at Kaamala resort. All staff are so friendly and attentive, they really go above and beyond to ensure you’re well looked after and enjoying your stay. The suite room was really good and big! Good dining options on site but also nearby restaurants. The breakfast was great and special overlooking the pool and palm trees. Overall an amazing stay! Waisna staff member was a great help

Alles in allem ein wirklich sehr gutes Hotel. Vom Personal hin über das Frühstück. Jedoch finde ich dass der erhöhte Preis im Gegensatz zu anderen Hotels nicht komplett gerechtfertigt ist. Beispielsweise die Ayona Village Canggu ebenso by InVie war um die Hälfte günstiger und fast genau so gut. Leider war jedoch am letzten Tag eine Hochzeit, was zu Beginn der Reise nicht kommuniziert wurde, sodass wir den Pool nicht mehr nutzen konnten. Hier wäre die Info zu Beginn des Aufenthalts gut gewesen. Ttotzdem hat das Hotel eine sehr gute Bewertung verdient.

This was a perfect luxurious getaway from the busy streets of Ubud. The staff were lovely, and having breakfast every morning in the Habitat restaurant was a great way to start the day, with a freshly brewed latte, fresh fruit, pastries, and a classic breakfast dish on top of that. We stayed in a villa, and having a private space was just what we needed to balance the chaos that is the Ubud streets!

The hotel is in a fantastic location, right on the edge of the Monkey Forest. The rooms (suites) are very clean, although there are still a few small areas where improvements could be made. The service and the way guests are treated are truly outstanding. Everyone at the hotel knows who you are and which room you’re staying in, which makes the experience feel very personal. We would especially like to mention Lia, who made our stay unforgettable. We’ve never experienced someone so attentive, kind, and genuinely caring in any other accommodation before. We truly hope she’ll still be working at Kaamala when we return. Thank you, Lia, for the special touch you added to our stay! The resort itself is modern and beautifully maintained. The infinity pool is stunning, offering breathtaking views of the jungle. Breakfast is generally good, though there’s a bit of inconsistency. Sometimes you get a fruit platter, sometimes not. Occasionally chamomile tea is available, and other times only coffee. These are small issues, though, and didn’t affect our overall experience. All in all, a wonderful hotel that we would gladly return to.

100% will come back this is a gorgeous property. The rooms were impeccable and clean and so high end. The staff here are so friendly and accommodating. Views from the room is amazing and views from the restaurant is also very beautiful. So worth it!

I had an amazing stay at Kaamala Luxury Resort in Bali! The staff were so kind and welcoming, and the resort itself is beautiful and peaceful. My room was clean, cozy, and came with a private pool and a stunning view. Everything felt luxurious and relaxing. I’d definitely come back!

The staff here was so nice and went above and beyond even by Bali standards. The location is great with lots of shops and restaurants close by. It’s near the market and busier parts of city center but feels separated from all of that.

Great location. 2 bedroom villa was smaller than I thought, and the rooms are not connected the shirt. The shared space is all outdoors. Pool was not heated in June and kids felt it was too cold to enjoy floating breakfast in the pool so we ate on the patio. Shower leaks to other parts of restroom. Besides those, service and amenities were top notch. We walked to monkey forest and monkeys even visited the property each morning.
