「Lovely property and staff」

「Great location, centrally placed for bars, food and the seafront, but only on street parking. Lovely bar and sitting area in the reception. Booked the standard double room. Although it was clean and comfortable, it was very small and I wouldn't stay more than 1 night in that type of room for that reason. Too cramped to move hardly. Also room was extremely hot despite the heating being off, so was uncomfortable to sleep in. Am guessing it's worth paying more for a larger room. We had cooked...

「Hotel was clean. Booked for a double room but got upgraded to a bigger room . Cleaners were polite, knocked before entering the room and asked if we needed anything. Hotel was very convenient just 2 minute walk from seafront. Would book the hotel again. 」

「Excellent service from the start. I had request a slightly earlier check in as i was traveling from Glasgow, my room had been cleaned to an exceptionally high standard for my arrival. This was greatly appreciated as I had travelled to attend a funeral service. The hotel is only a 2 min walk from Cleethorpes railway station, so very easy to find and get to. The hotel is immaculate and beds are comfortable. Great local hotel. 5* 」

「What a gem of a place. Such a welcoming place. Ann and Jim are the perfect hosts. Room with our own little private garden downstairs was lovely and the bathroom area very clean and eco friendly with no plastics. Even liked the bamboo toilet paper which I also use at home. Breakfast every morning is cooked fresh and very decent coffee. I would thoroughly recommend a stay here.」

On arrival the carpet in the lounge was up and folded over (i stood on a nail and my 2 year old son tripped over it, veey hazardous), there was a large stain/wet patch in the twin room so everytime you went in you got wet feet, the tap in the kitchen leaked when you took a shower, the boiler had no safety glass over it so had a naked flame and the grass and plants to the side is over grown so you couldnt park next to the caravan, more half on/half on the road. 「Booked a couple of nights here as we love the coast & had never been to Withernsea before, the house is lovely & warm and had the most amazing sea views from the lounge & double bedroom. There were nice touches, like a welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk, biscuits & Prosecco, as well as the movement detecting plug-in lights which doubled as torches - really useful.
