I made the mistake of booking this the last time we stayed it was old smelling dated and they palmed off vegetarian sausages instead of admitting they’d run out of pork ones. This hotel is fit for builders looking for cheap accommodation and cheap food They wouldn’t refund saying I had to get refund from the app and the app people said I had to get the hotel to cancel, end result they got my money and we booked elsewhere

Staff were absolutely wonderful and couldn’t do enough to help. Which is a real shame as the hotel itself is dirty and scruffy and in bad need of a refurbishment. This wasn’t helped by the presence of drunks/druggies around the main entrance and the square outside, shouting and arguing until the small hours.

I have stayed here before, and it has usually been OK, although not great. This time, the room I was first given had a collapsed wardrobe rail, and the second room had a loose bathroom hot tap, a very noisy bathroom fan, and the room’s waste bin was unusable. Restaurant food was OK, but the portion of fish in the fish & chips was surprisingly small, so it was poor value for money. I think the staff must be used to customers complaining, because they don’t seem at all bothered about things that are wrong.

The breakfast and the staff are fantastic but the hotel rooms are in need of refurbishment and a lick of paint. Although the beds are very comfortable the furniture and decor are very dark and outdated. This is reflected in the price which is very reasonable. I find this hotel perfect for my needs which are bed and breakfast, which I can’t fault.

I’m glad we only stayed there for one night. I honestly don’t understand how this hotel has a review score of 8.😏🤔 When my wife and I arrived, the receptionist was neither welcoming nor friendly. She was very cold and serious with us. Since we were traveling with our 3-month-old puppy, she became upset and told us that we should have informed the hotel in advance. She immediately asked us to pay an additional £20 per night and a £50 deposit. We apologized for not informing the hotel earlier, but her reaction was surprisingly rude and made us feel very uncomfortable. At that moment, I regretted booking this hotel because of the unfriendly attitude and poor customer service. She seemed so distracted that she did not even give us our room number or tell us where our room was. We had to ask for that information ourselves. The worst part was the bathroom. It was extremely old and in very poor condition, with mold visible on many parts of the walls. It looked so unpleasant that we did not feel comfortable taking a shower there. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and I would not stay here again.

Nice hotel in the centre of Grimsby, room we paid extra to overlook the beatiful minster. What it did not say was the amount of homeless people gathering on the grass and taking/laughing into the night. The rooms/ hotel are very warm, there was a fan in the room but did little to cool it, window open but this allowed the taking as above to be louder. Food nice both breakfast and evening meal. Few staff helpful and talkative but reception seemed quite miserable with not even a morning/hello as you passed on way through. Rooms and hotel are in need of a vast refurbishment. Towels in bathroom on a heated total rail but inches from the toilet unhygienic. Staff seemed to work long hours but overall helpful.
