"Just do it! This is the most amazing place I have ever stayed in all my travels, and truly has been the highlight of my trip to Taiwan. The people were generous and kind, the food was the best I’ve had in this country (definitely book the hot pot dinner!), and the rooms are charming, comfortable, and impeccably clean. They tell you exactly the best place to watch the sunrise, overlooking the tea plantation just a 2 minute walk down the street. And the seating area on the terrace for both sunrise and sunset are darn near perfect. If I ever come back to Taiwan I’m 1000% staying here again for a longer period of time! To say this place blew me away is an understatement. "

"My room overlooking the village's central area provided interesting views into local life. Breakfast was available at the hotel's modest restaurant across the street. Helpful staff showed me the ingredients so I could build my own breakfast since I could not complete their Chinese language menu. The bathroom had its own onsen tub, so I did not use the spa."

Despite this unique environmental set up, the hotel remained super clean and well maintained. Impressive. Room is clean and the belcony is truly one of its kind. "I loved our family room with the loft; very clean and cozy and we had our own balcony with a beautiful view of the tea plantation. The hot pot restaurant was amazing with delicious fresh veggies and was a lovely way to end the day after hiking in the misty forest. The view of sunset from the hot pot restaurant was absolutely stunning! My only reservation would be for elderly travelers as there are stairs and some steep pathways- they would need some assistance with luggage and walking. Breakfast was delicious! I’m so grateful we stayed here. Thank you! "
