"This hotel charges $14.95 per night for PARKING!.. This was not included in the total cost of the room when I booked. I was given a paper to sign at check in and told I owed an additional fee. Keep in mind this is per night. This can add up quickly when staying for a long weekend. Another guest told me this was new and he has been staying at this hotel for over five years and never had to pay until now. The hotel was clean and complimentary breakfast was good. I only rated this hotel a 4 stars due to the parking fee. "

"The scenery was beautiful there, there's no doubt about that. They did have a full breakfast there on the weekends, but during the week days there are a few items missing from that breakfast. I was there for a week, and the maid didn't come by and clean my room, not sure why. One day when I was out, they did drop off a set of fresh towels some soaps and shampoos and some bathroom tissue, but they didn't clean the room. There was a problem with the water pressure in the hotel. At one point there was no water, and there was no hot water. I think it was an issue of the owner being very cheap, and not allowing too much water into the rooms. They also had the low flow toilet tanks, which for Gatlinburg, TN, was completely unnecessary. The hotel was a good value, and it did have a microwave and refrigerator in the room, but it was not an ideal hotel."
