We do clearly state everywhere that we require a valid government-issued ID outside of the GTA and a valid credit card in the guests name for check-in. Without both of these things we will be unable to check a guest in as these are our policies.

Great value for money! Towels, soap and shower gel provided, free breakfast every morning, and comfortable beds. Kitchen was being repaired while I was there, otherwise the facilities were great.

The location is excellent. I like the kitchen that you could cook your own food. The common room is good to have some work done too. In downtown Toronto, the price is fine conaidering saving time and transportation fees. When we arrived in the morning, it's clean and tidy but in the evening it gets so dirty in the shared shower that you don't want to step into. The supervisor at the front desk is super impatient as if you live there for free. Overall it's fine to stay for a few nights as a backpack traveler.

Absolutely loved our stay here! And will differently stay here again when we come back to Toronto. We loved that all the staff members were soo helpful and kind! They even helped make suggestion for my birthday!

I had my doubts about the property. As it is mentioned as 2-star. And even private rooms have to use a shared bathroom . There wouldn’t be a attached bathroom. But damn was i wrong . The property is well maintained . Few highlights: 1. No one can enter the hostel without a key card 2.They have a common kitchen with everything required to cook . 3. They have a coffee/lounge area to work and relax 4. The bathroom are a little off not very clean but the shower rooms are very clean and well maintained. 5. We checked in late at night around 12 am we requested additional time on checkout as checkout is at 11 am . But it was not allowed. But the staff is so helpful. They have a luggage room they will hold on to the luggage till we finish our trip which was very helpful for us. 6. Free breakfast they had bagels , donuts, waffles,cereal . I would say gooood. For a price of 110$ usd for a private room . It was a good experience and stay.

The attitude of the staff is terrible. They have no intention to help the customer. All rooms are with SHARED bathrooms, do not be tricked by the room amenities, which stats “ Bathroom with shower” for each and every room.

Was a great place to stay, especially with the price. Bunk was super comfy, everyone who was also staying there was friendly and breakfast was delicious. Downtown so the neighborhood can get a little loud but great if you're looking for an area with lots to do and easy travel with lots of transit.

I made a booking for a week and selected the option of payment on arrival. When I showed up Monday night, the lady looked at my ID and said only tourists (outside of GTA) are allowed. She refused to check me in and had no customer service skills. They should fix their postings! It was a waste of time and energy. Awful experience.

Will go back!
Quick getaway to Toronto for a couple of days. Check in was a breeze (I did it online to speed things up). I stayed in an all female, 4 bed (2 bunks), room. Absolutely loved the fact that each bunk had our own light, power outlet and a curtain to minimize light pollution for late sleepers/early risers. Showers were clean, (the shampoos, conditioner and soap that were provided were great) and separate from the toilet area. Strong water pressure and always hot water. The only thing I thought was strange was the shower room could be completely accessible by males, I'm not sure if there was a separate shower for them on my floor. But the hostel felt safe to me. Card access required to enter the hostel and the room areas and of course your room. Lockers in the room as well. My bed creaked a bit when shifting around in bed, enough to disturb my bunk mate but I suspect she didn't use ear plugs. Blanket was warm, bed and pillow were comfy. I never got to partake in breakfast so I can't comment on that. Location is wonderful. Close to enough to Downtown you could walk and streets cars are very close and frequent. Tons of restaurants nearby and convenience stores and pharmacies. Hostel was clean and the staff were friendly! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

It being near downtown makes it very convenient but other than that it's nothing to write home about. I was late checking out which is definitely on my part but nowhere is it stated how much the late fee is. She said since it was 4 hours that it would be 50 bucks. I looked at their company policies and all it said was "late checkout may result in additional fees." So how did they come to this number? Is it a flat fee or is it based upon how late I was checking out? I dont know because it's not posted anywhere. If it was posted then i'd be more understanding because as I know my fault for checking out late. Furthermore she didn't explain anymore then it would 50 dollars, and then said "you can go now" which is not really pleasant, should really say instead "anything else I can help you with" or "you're good to go."

Our late check out policy is posted at the front desk and is a flat rate of 50 all year for late dorm check outs. This is usually enforced after 11:30am if a check out has not occurred and the fee is the same for later check outs. We do apologize for the little communication regarding this and we will look into this for future. We hope you enjoyed your stay in Toronto and safe travels!

It was easy to take the bus to the Center of the city, there are many restaurants near the hostal, the price for staying there is accesible, and the breakfast is very good. I didn't like the noise the beds make and the way I was welcome when I arrived because the guy at the desk asked me about a credit card with my name, some credit cards in México have no name on It, just the number.
