"arrived after a veryyyy long day of travelling and the staff was so helpful to get me checked in quickly and easily! i had booked a single person room and while the room itself was small but clean and tidy, and made good use of the space with storage under the bed for my suitcases, so it was perfect for my needs on this trip! the provided amenities were great, staff in the hotel were helpful and kind, and the wifi and luggage storage after checkout were great. it was a super quick walk to the Otsuka station and the Yamanote line that got me around the city, only about a 15 minute walk to Ikebukuro as well, and the nearby konbini was handy - absolutely would stay here again!"

"the room and bathroom were clean, the air conditioning and wifi worked well, the hostel is a short 5min walk from minowa station and there are elevators. one thing that could be improved is: more hangers! there were no hangers available in the bathroom or toilet, and only two hangers in your room"

"The staff was extremely friendly, and the location is amazing. There are two different train lines close by, which makes it really easy to travel throughout Tokyo and even to nearby prefectures like Yokohama. The amenities in the hotel are also very nice, and yeah, overall just a pleasant experience."

"My friend and I had our annual week trip and Sakura was just right where we needed it to be - not too far from main areas (transportation, markets, restaurants plus Ueno) but well located at a neighborhood area. The staff was very easy to communicate with and was very helpful from checking in to when we have questions to getting a taxi for us when we checked out. The rooms and the shared areas are always cleaned. The room itself is straightforward - a clean bed, clean floor, a table and a working AC and a window - perfect for us who was gone most of the day. I would just say that we only ate once at the free breakfast as it was only toast, soup and coffee/tea - you can buy your own full breakfast. My friend and I rarely got hungry in the morning so we skipped the rest of breakfast for the next 4 mornings. I do would like to say, the bunk beds was surprisingly comfortable and I was on the top bunk so I slept good every single night. Overall, I would stay there again if I ever come to Tokyo! A lowkey but international type of stay. Oh! Did I mention, the 24/7 access to in-house drinks and food was a huuuuge plus for downtime. Thank you for having us Sakura"

Tokyu Stay Ikebukuro

"Hotel is only a couple minutes walking distance away from C6 exit for the Ikebukuro rail / subway station and Tobu department store. Seibu, Parco and Bic Camera are on the other side (east) of the Ikebukuro station. One Family Mart and a 7-11 are nearby for anyone needing a quick bite - sandwiches, soft-boiled eggs and ice cream. Rooms are reasonably spacious and clean. Limited housekeeping means staffs only enter room to empty trash and replace towels if guest posts sign on the door before 11am. They do not make beds. Ikebukuro station has a large underground interconnect, great for rainy days. It can feel busy and a little chaotic during commute hours, but being only one stop away from Shinjuku on two JR East lines, a good alternative if one finds Shinjuku too expensive to stay but still wants the conveniences."
