「Nous y avons posé nos valises pendant près de deux semaines et nous avons adoré. L'endroit est superbe, très propre, idéalement situé. Les gens qui y travaillent sont d'une grande gentillesse. 「I loved this quiet peaceful location and friendly staff. The roof terrace and private balcony off my room and outdoor areas were a real plus. Marco did everything to make my stay relaxed and advised on local restaurants. The breakfast was great too and the small cafe is open until 2.30 pm . 」

Bare as your foot. Luxury, where?
Dos Mares markets itself as a barefoot luxury experience, but guests should know what that means in practice before booking.
The staff was genuinely friendly and accommodating. However, the property feels absolutely underprepared as a hotel. Rooms are minimalist to the point of lacking basics: no seating, no TV, no safe, and no in-room WiFi — only available in the hallway, which is a significant issue for anyone needing to work remotely.

「This is the most amazing experience and stay that I have ever had in my life! The hotel is family owned small boutique establishment in the middle of the jungle. Surrounded by beautiful untouched nature, the amazing cenote and the absolutely phenomenal hospitality of the owners! The cenote is breathtaking and worth visiting!
