"My stay was alright, i would say it's reasonable value for money and not bad especially on short notice. Parking is plentiful and free, as it's on the property (though a bit tight if you have a wider/longer car like an SUV or estate). There's a chinese takeaway next door I was in room 1, which was in a decent condition, looked reasonably clean and tidy except for a panel being off of the wall where there was electrics/piping visible. The only real nside was an awful smell coming from the drains in the bathroom. I genuinely felt sick when i first smelt it upon walking in. Leaving the bathroom window wide open did help to lessen the smell but it didn't go away. This must be addressed in my opinion, especially as I've read other reviews complaining about it too. The only other negative was that the room was absolutely freezing most of the night until around 3am, when the heating came on, which then felt blisteringly hot. There's no way to turn heating up or down so you will simply have to put up with it. Not the end of the world but it did significantly reduce my quality of sleep. Bar those issues, Joy was very friendly and helpful, the process of getting door and lockbox codes was pretty straightforward. Overall i would give the Dakota a 3/5 stars, although there are some issues that need sorting before i would personally think of returning. I'd also like to add that i appreciate the speed at which the room was made ready as I booked it at very short notice. Thank you!"

"Property was in a nice location next to small river. Room was dated…patio door fell off hinges when opened, headboards were in rough shape, toilet wouldn’t flush and had to fix myself. For some reason ours was the only room without card entry which was a bit of a pain! Also beds really firm. The front desk staff were helpful as much as possible. Restaurant was quite good. Overall was ok for what we payed. "

"The accomodation needs decorating in the hallways the bedroom doors also very grubby. ,the beding was lovey but the pillows are solid ,i struggled sleeping with them , the net curtain behind the double glazing was dirty, and so was the window sill, shocked that staff havnt noticed, bathroom was clean ,was surprised to, have a half used toilet roll ???, never ever had a used toilet room in a bathroom before. Breakfast was dissapointing , hot water for your drinks were not hot, the breakfast eggs were hard , beans luke warm, bacon was under cooked, the sausages were the cheapist vile, my daughter had egg benerdict both eggs were very over cooked her bacon was also undercooked, her sauce tasted sweet thats odd, she left it all .there was 6 of us and we all left it, saying that was the worst breakfast we all have ever had.very Dissapointing."

"Our stay overall was excellent, food & service was spot on & my massage in the spa was unreal (& I’ve experienced many). Only negative I have is our room 340, was right next to the fire door to the lifts and stairs which meant it banged every time someone went through. Also we were woken up by the night staff using the bins at 5am (which would have been 4am if not for the clocks going forward) we were therefore too tired to go down for breakfast which was a shame but we were reimbursed for the cost & an apology was made and room number noted for the noise concern. Would recommend this hotel, maybe avoid any room next to the lifts & stairs. "

"Room (deluxe with bath) blew us away - fantastic and very luxurious. Booked room with a bath to relax after a hard couple of weeks. Unfortunately the bath jets didn’t work and the water was only just warm. Reception offered to send someone out to check but the moment had already passed. Everything else with the stay was great - just shame with the bath which we’d booked specifically "
