Possibly one of dirtiest hotels i have ever stayed. Hall carpets were filthy., stairs down to bar, your feet stuck to lino which was hanging on,just!. Cushion on the bed has stains over it, place stunk of stale beer and general filth.

This place is still under going some major work, unfortunately this leaves the stay very disappointing, staff really so nice and helpful but unfortunately because of such a lack of employees very unfair on them we actually left 1 day early no mention of refund and the fact that they had also charged for parking again lostv1 day of this, really feel for the amazing staff but unfortunately the actual hotel leaves alot to be desired, will never be back to it again and will advise family and friends to avoid

Just received 2 parking fines despite the tablet to register on not working when I checked in and being assured this would be taken care of! So on top of a half made bed and the 40 minute wait in the restaurant during my stay and having to go elsewhere to eat I would say this was a disaster! To top it off no one appears to answer the phone or deal with anything related to customer service issues. Very disappointed

Pretty shabby stay. Extremely helpful receptionist. But the hotel needs a lot of work to get up to a reasonable standard.

For the £ very pleased, it’s a beautiful old building but with that high maintenance, and building looks tired in places. But clean, staff friendly, free accessible parking was kindly given an upgrade as booked wrong room, very quiet. I would use again as a quick overnight stay around work.

The current owners have only had the property a short while hence my poor comment on decor and maintenance. They are renovating the property however the staff were very polite and helpful. Our en-suite rooms although dated were clean. The beds and bedding were clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was very good, ample choice only negative comment I can say is ceramic mugs/cups would be nicer than the ones provided. We wish them every success.

The hotel was fine but very tired and basic. Fine for an overnight. Breakfast was offer for 15 and over priced. It was again fine, but no coffee or hot water was available. Staff were friendly and pleasant. Bit of an odd mix. Fine for an overnight stay or airport stop off but I’d not recommend the breakfast purely based on cost.

On arrival was meet with a smile and asked how we were and once checked in was shown to our room and said if we needed anything not to hesitate to ask , The room was very spacious and clean , we didn`t eat there on this occasion but what we could smell coming from the dinning room was amazing . Would happily stay there again .

The pictures are not what they seem. A double bed is more like a single and a half, very springy couldnt sleep, there was one hanger and small rail for clothes and no iron, the fan had not enough power. Upgrade was £160 which is ridiculous. Eating area table has crumbs not wiped down at all. Staff are pleasant however. Free parking
