"A lovely room (no.1) with an adjoining small sitting room and a welcome retreat from the sweltering heat outdoors. Thermal curtains kept the early morning sunlight and heat out and, combined with a very comfortable bed and pillows, led to a good night's sleep. The cooked breakfast was tasty and filling (and big enough to make a sandwich to go). The property is in a pleasant area with nearby bus stops for direct buses into the centre, to near the beachfront, train station, Canterbury and Whitstable. "

"A property with warmth and character. Beautiful room, bathroom was pleasant but could do with a little attention as felt well used however all was in working order. Check-in was smooth. Jon was very welcoming and explained everything we needed to know. Breakfast was fine and enjoyed by all. We really enjoyed pur stay. Sadly didnt have time to explore the area but seemed a lovely area too. We would stay again and would recommend the Grove Ferry Inn."
