This hotel punches above its 3 star status!

The food for breakfast and dinner was superb. Really delicious fresh and local. The Hotel is lovely, really clean and fullof history. The staff were super friendly and accommodating.

Wonderful hotel with interesting history, beautiful grounds/gardens. Warm welcome, friendly and accommodating staff, excellent food. I will definitely reurn if I am in the area again.

A pleasant stay.

The staff were friendly, polite and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was in need of some refurbishment and the shower was poor. However, Howfield Manor is a beautiful building and even in December the grounds were lovely. I would like to stay there again.

Beautiful remote place to stay, just 5 minutes by car from the city center of Manchester. The manor is embeddet in a nice garden with sufficient distance from the main street to keep the noise away. The cosy rooms are clean and provide sufficient space for a relaxed stay. The low water pressure caused the water to drip from the showerhead and made showering a challenge. This should be improved.

Not as advertised.

I booked this hotel specifically because it advertised air conditioning and I like to support local hotels wherever I stay over corporate hotels as often as I can. Unfortunately this hotel advertised air conditioning which was one of my preferences but actually does not have air conditioning so on one of the hottest weeks of the year I was unable to get any sleep and when I challenged the advert at reception I was informed that a fan was available, my room was a ground floor with people walking around so unfortunately I could not have the windows open due to security and all in all a very bad nights rest, I will never stay at this hotel again.

Wer die traditionelle englische Bauweise von Fußböden und Türen uber elektrische Ausstattung und Badeinricjlhtung schätzt findet hier ein inmitten der Natur und dennoch wenige Autominuten von Canterbury gelegenes Haus, welches sich auxh für ein gelegentliches Abendessen eignet, während das Frühstück zwar inklusive ist, aber Alternativen im Zentrum von Canterbury qualitativ eher. vorzuziehen wären.

Considering the difficult times we are all facing it was a very pleasurable stay in a lovely location and good food all served in a safe outdoor setting thanks to the wonderful weather.

Staff were fantastic - very friendly and helpful. Everyone was very diligent with regard to Covid-10. We found Eva to be particularly helpful and friendly. Would very much recommend hotel, staff and locality.

wonderful overnight stay

Easy to find and plenty of parking. Reception very friendly and offered to help with bags. Bedrooms a good size with a bath in the en-suite. Bed also comfortable and the TV a good size. We had a couple of drinks in the bar which was very relaxing and a bar snack of toasted cheese & ham baguette with chips. Just what we needed! Breakfast in the morning was freshly prepared and very tasty. The hotel was very good value for money and we would certainly return if staying in the area.

We went for a short break to Howfield and everything was wonderful. The bed was comfortable, room was clean and food was delicious. We had breakfast included with lots of options to choose from and at dinner the food was delicious. Would stay again.

Excellent Service

Only stayed one night, rom was clean tidy, well stocked. Staff where very friendly. I left early morning before the restaurant opened, so the staff arranged for me to have a packed Lunch for me...Would recommend a stay here and will book in again if Im working back in Chilham....
