It was a bit unsettling traveling by myself to come to an empty, less than welcoming hotel. Minor detail, but like I said it was desolate. I was uncomfortable with the location as well as the hotel is next to a car lot. No restaurants near by or any amenities…had to find my way into Kingston at night to get a cup of coffee. 「The lodge was amazing. The rooms were huge and very very spacious, including the bathrooms. Extremely clean and the mattress and pillows were the most comfortable ones I’ve ever come across in a hotel room. The staff was very friendly and warm. Unfortunately they were shutting down for business and I was apparently the last guest to checkout! I wish they’d keep it running. I’d go back to the catskills just to stay there!」

「It is a lovely facility. The staff is kind and helpful. We had some confusion on checking in, I had apparently booked a room without a private bath or closet. As we were there to attend a wedding, I wanted my own bathroom and a place to hang our "dressup" clothes. They were able to change our room and accomodate us.」
