"The property is beautiful, but not even close to half the size of what it looks in pictures and very different. There’s actually nothing much to do except wine tour considering it’s very far from Florence and the cabs are very expensive to go and back. We had to wait more than an hour to get a drink and chips in restaurant as there was nobody there between lunch and dinner hour. So if you get late for lunch, there’s nothing to eat until dinner hours except coffee. It would have been nice for place to have at least some sandwiches or snack to grab between meal hours, considering there are not any restaurants nearby. The place can be a good idea if only you want some quiet time away from city. I do not recommend it if you have children or want to do activities!"

"We loved Castello di Montegufoni. We felt like royalty in our large rooms. The grounds were absolutely beautiful. The bathroom was small but adequate. I plan to go again. This is a great place to stay as a base when visiting Tuscany. "

A highlight was the stunning infinity pool; lounging there with a panoramic view of the rolling Chianti hills was pure magic. Every meal was a celebration of local flavors, perfectly paired with incredible wines. You can even order olive oil from their groves and wine from their vineyards to take home or they will assist with the shipping! It’s rare to find a property that hits a **perfect 10/10** in every category, Villa le Calvane does it effortlessly. We cannot wait to return!" "

"Our stay at Villa La Capella was nothing short of perfect. The two owners, Paula and Anthony, were both such incredible individuals. I have never experienced anything so warm and welcoming during my travels. The hospitality they provided went above and beyond what anyone would expect or could ask for. My partner and I will be returning again and again, if not for the most gorgeous views of the country side (or the beautiful and elegant Kobe, one of three resident dogs that live there) but for the warm, welcoming and friendly atmosphere that Paula and Anthony have cultivated. "Wonderful staff here. Simona! Natalia! Good breakfast. Spacious rooms. Lovely area. It is remote but remote can be a wonderful thing. Only suggestion is the shower leaks because the shower door is not sealed. So a rethink there. But otherwise fabulous and highly recommended. "

"This is a working winery and while the apartments are somewhat rustic and without air conditioning they provided much of the charm and experience that we were looking for during our stay in Tuscany. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the wines produced by the winery. Natalia and Roberta were especially friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the buffet dinner that was available on our first night that included delicious food and wines. We also took advantage of the daily breakfast since the location is somewhat remote. Alternatively, one could easily prepare their own breakfast in the apartment kitchen but we opted for the convenience. Although remote the property is conveniently located in the countryside about midway between Florence and Siena which were the two cities we planned to visit during our stay. There is a pool on the property and we did also enjoy a stroll into the vineyards one evening to watch the sunset. The reason for the lower rating with facilities is primarily around some plumbing inconvenience which was not confined to just our unit but was being appropriately addressed by the property and we did not experience any issues on our last couple of days. Overall, our experience was excellent and I would stay there again if I return to Tuscany."

"The property and our room was beautiful and very clean. The pool area was nice to swim in and relax. The laundry service was too expensive at 8 euros per wash. We were grateful to have a washer to save time and be able to hang our clothes outside to dry, but the price seemed like a lot since the machine was small. There werent any activities or wine tours mentioned, "
