"All the staff were friendly, welcoming and efficient. Anything extra we asked for was provided immediately. Ben, in particular, was outstanding. We felt valued as customers and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean, the beds very comfortable and all the food was excellent. Being on a busy road, we were worried about noise but it was no problem at all and we slept soundly both nights. There was lots of parking and many blue badge spaces which we really appreciated. There is also a lovely beer garden with fantastic views. We will definitely stay here again."

"Third time I have stayed here - always very good. Good rooms with self catering option - on a level with a good premier inn. The included breakfast makes it good value considering it’s an extra at most hotels these days. Good location in central Middlesbrough, handy for the train station and Riverside stadium etc."

"If you are a party of walkers that want a nice clean room, a hearty evening meal , with a couple of drinks, and a good extensive breakfast the KHI is for you. If you want an atmospheric pub, I would suggest you consider somewhere else. The room and bathroom were clean with all the facilities you could reasonably expect for the money."
