"Wish we could give this hotel 6 stars. Lovely, spacious and quiet room, comfortable beds, great bath room, very helpful staff, walkable location to restaurants and tours in Te Anau. Highly recommend Asure Explorer Motel."

"We did make a mistake booking as I didn’t realize this was like a camp ground. That being said the bathrooms were not very clean and were frigid cool. I never did try to take a shower there. Cobwebs everywhere and the laundry area at least half of the machines were broken. I found the sponges and towels to use in kitchen area to be dirty and worn out. Not sure if staff makes sure dishes are clean from last guest as I found a nasty dirty dish in our cupboard. Bed was ok and cabin did get warm and area was quiet. It did seem like there were plenty of people there but I wouldn’t stay here again."

"Very clean, comfortable and warm room ahead of our trekking, lots of room to spread out your gear to get organized and will store extra bags! Would stay again, 100%. "

"Good location with only a short walk to shops / restaurants. Beautiful views from room. Clean room with nice staff. Te Anau a lovely town with friendly people. Good base to go to Milford Sound."

"Nice property, rooms are a little smaller than they appear on the photos but fairly standard size for this kind of place. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and parking was very easy. Only thing to be aware of is the shared bathrooms get very cold at night since they leave the windows open so be prepared if you have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night."

"The price was good, the rooms were nice and large. Rooms and hotel in general are older, but in reasonable condition. Not really soundproof, as it was at times quite noisy from the hall or adjacent rooms. Fine for a short stay. Apparently, there is a restaurant on site, but only open depending on the number of guests staying at the hotel. Not to matter, plenty of dining options in town."

"Loved our stay with Top Ten Te Anau. Quite peaceful and close proximity to lake, cafes and restaurants. "

"The laundry service was good, very clean and efficient washing machines and driers. The bed mattress, in our room was very uncomfortable, a suggestion would be to consider replacing it. The end unit was under an external stairwell leading to units above, when the stairs were in use it was noisey. Lovely motel overall. Suggestion; Book for units upstairs and/ or not end units on lower floor."

"This is a two star hotel parading as four. The rooms are OK but the hotel is basically a tour group sleep-over for Milford Sound. The pricing is outrageous for the quality. The buffet breakfast simply awful. Parking is convenient, although open air and good location to the only EV charger anywhere between Queenstown and Milford."
