This place really surprised me. The pictures do not do it justice. I stayed in a non-smoking room, not sure what smoking floors are like. Staff there are very helpful.

Really good value for money. 10 minute walk to the ferry terminal with loads of food options on its doorstep. Very clean and comfortable with toiletries provided.

Very clean and comfortable. Toiletries are complete in the bathroom. If you're staying for the weekend, there's a Sunday market nearby to visit! There's seafood restaurant and nearby grocery store if you need to buy extra stuff.

Nice, clean and fresh
Nice, clean and fresh hotel in Semporna. Easy base to walk around town and access restaurants. Didn't hear a peep from outside or any other guests. Reception staff were super helpful in organising an early morning ride to Tawau and got us a great price. Only negative would be that i found the bed way too hard... felt like 10cm of padding on top of a slab of wood. Don't know that i could have handled more than 2 nights purely from the mattress perspective. Other than that would recommend it.

The best hotel in Tawau. It was clean, felt new, affordable, and has an elevator. It’s across the street from the seafood court. Kam Ling is wonderful. Centrally located, and very convenient for shopping.

場所柄選択肢が少なく適当に選んだホテルだったが低価格にもかかわらず思いの外対応が良く感じの良いホテルでした。目の前の海鮮レストランがあって良いのですが高めであまりおすすめ出来ません。高評価なのでこのホテルの為にも是非掲載してほしい！hotels.comには意図的な不掲載をやめてほしい！

Smelly sheets
The hotel and everything else was okay except the smell of the bedsheets and towels. They smelled like they didn't put detergent in the laundry and it smelled really horrible. Even when I was sleeping face up, I could still smell it. Not a pleasant experience. Had a booking with the same hotel a few days later and went to hurriedly cancel the booking.

Pleasant and relaxing.
I was quite sick when I arrived. The desk told me where to find a health clinic and it was a positive experience. Also found me a breakfast place near the hotel. The local breakfast was not the best. The air conditioner was too floral for me and I mentioned it to the desk and they immediately changed the air filters. Good area for shopping for essentials. I enjoyed my stay and the people were warm and welcoming.

Comfortable, good wifi.
Staff was good and helpful. Easy check in after booking through Expedia. The hotel is still relatively new, about 2 years old, therefore the facilities are still good.

Très bon choix à Tawau
Hôtel neuf et confortable ... large baie vitrée... salle d'eau pratique... ascenseur... wifi très bon ... excellent restaurant : poissons frais juste en face ... cet hôtel est un très bon choix pour un bon prix. Vue sur mer possible. Par contre pas de petit déjeuner sauf un instantané standard offert que l'on peut faire bouillir dans la chambre. A recommander.

Still look new and good.
Strong WIFI signal in room. Bathroom well equipped with toiletries. Only thing is that cable TV does not have English movie channels. Only Chinese movie channel (Celestial Movie).

This newer hotel has good sized rooms and is just a short walk to the ferry port but is on a Main Street and a little noisy but calms down at night. I would recommend it for its convenient location, nice staff and view of the sea.

Nice and comfort hotel
Given the price, city garden hotel provide good facilities which is clean and decent. The location is just opposite the famous seafood shop and the noodle shop who sell great fish head noodle in the morning. A good location where u can walk to the famous pasar tanjung tawau.

Come to Tawau, must stay in City Garden Hotel
The exterior of hotel looks like any ordinary 2 stars hotels. Interior is totally different. The beds,bedsheets, pillows and towels are super soft, fluffy, clean and white. Toilet and bath area are clean with bright light. Ample supply of toiletries like big box of tissues,thick toilet rolls, toothbrushes, shampoo , bath gel and soaps etcs. On top of that, I like the sea facing view from the big glass window. Satalite channels provided, are the best in the whole of Tawau. Two thumbs up for City Garden Hotel.

My stay was ok, the room was ok as expected. The only complaint I have is when I checked out early in the morning at the front desk and asked the receptionist to call me a taxi, he did not call a taxi right away, printed out the details of my stay with a balance $ amount, told me to sign at bottom, and asked me to settle and pay the amount. I told him that I had prepared fully with Hotel.com, showed him the confirmation, but he still asked me to sign and pay. I told him to call the Manager, and since he did not do anything, I waited a few minutes, and just walked out the door.

The WiFi is strong, instant tea and coffee pack, breakfast and toiletries provided. Just the room size a bit small. Put me in smoking room even though I asked for non smoking room.

Excellent hotel in Tawau
Really great hotel- staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed for 4 nights and couldn't have asked for anything more. Excellent wifi. English speaking staff at reception. Great area with lots of shops and restaurants to explore. Would highly recommend if you seen in tawau for any length of time!

Nice and affordable
The room was just nice and clean. An has an "Executive Room" feel to it with an affordable price and the room deposit is not too steep. However I would recommend that an air freshener be provided in each room. Location wise it is just nice as there are a lot of eateries nearby. WiFi: beyond my expectation! The hotel staff was friendly and very responsive to my inquires and gave a lot of useful recommendations. I would definitely stay here again If i happened to be in Tawau again in the future!
