"I was very happy with my stay at the Westin Tampa Bay. My friend and I arrived at the hotel around 11:30 am and the staff was able to accommodate our request for early check-in. I was only in town for less than 24 hours so getting in early was a big deal to me and helped us a lot. Thank you."

"Paid $2400 for two nights in a gold suite and bath tub was so small an average person wouldn’t fit ! Hold suite overlooked parking lot just out window . Booked months in advance so should not have been an issue . Was told for additional $100 night could move me to same suite but better view . One would think a $1200 a night suite would be amazing views . Also hot charged $250 at check in for resort fees "

"Free breakfast is not really “breakfast”. Just some bread, fruits, bagels and sausage and eggs that doesn’t look fresh. I saw the server holding a plastic Tupperware with prepared before hand egg omelet with cheese on it. I just ended up having just a coffee. The room and property were good. No airport shuttle is a minus for me."

"I had high hopes for this place because the location is nice, the view is beautiful, and it’s very budget-friendly. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing mainly because of the service. We arrived a little past 4 PM, which is the official check-in time, but were told that our room was still not ready. We had just come from a long trip, and my friend even flew in from Canada, so we were already exhausted. The staff asked us to wait about 35 minutes, which we understood—but it ended up taking more than an hour, and our room was still not ready. What made it worse was that many other guests were in the same situation. Instead of handling things professionally, the front desk staff seemed irritated and even rude toward upset guests. There was no sense of urgency or compassion, which was very disappointing. Considering it was a weekend with a concert event nearby, this situation should have been anticipated and better managed. Proper preparation could have avoided this kind of inconvenience for guests. To be fair, the security guards and some of the staff were friendly and helpful. However, the front desk experience really left a bad impression. Even during checkout, the staff still came across as unfriendly. Also the place is old and elevator was sooooo slow. Overall, I would not recommend staying here. There are many other budget-friendly options in the area with better service and more accommodating staff."

"This hotel was supposed to be close to the airport; it is not, it's a half hour drive away. There are no amenities, no real food. If the dates of your stay change, they hit you with a penalty worth more than your room. Note that this penalty applies not to a cancellation, but a change of dates made more than two weeks prior. This is how much they value customers. Plus, breakfast ends at 9:30 am. Choose somewhere else."

"The hotel is showing its' age but it was clean and the front desk staff was very helpful. If you are going to an event at the Straz you can't get a better location."
