Nice room, clean and comfortable. Quiet location and staff very nice. Breakfast is good, not fabulous. Gets the job done. Very close to Macquarie shopping centre and that is a major plus. No wine glasses in the room for in room drinking is minor negative. Supposedly you need to ask reception for them. Otherwise i like this hotel. Normally stay at Quest but this is a better option for short stay on business.

Bathroom and lighting arrangement make it nearly impossible to avoid disturbing partner if needing bathroom during night. This is a design issue. The quality of the facilities were overall excellent. Would be fine for a single person staying in the room.

Great hotel!
The Holiday Inn Express at Macquarie Park is a great hotel. Service is always great, helpful, the rooms are lovely, very clean, great amenities, a nice breakfast is a great inclusion.

I am giving only 3 stars because the property doesn't deliver what it promises. Maybe next time I'll mark higher because I'll have adjusted my expectations. I chose this hotel in particular because it said onsite restaurant/dining. This was not accurate. There was a very limited menu and when I asked about the options, I was told "sorry we can't serve food. You'll have to go next door to The Coffee Club". Fair enough, I thought...in my room I saw I could dial 0 to put in a coffee club order so I asked for the menu. "No sorry, you'll have to go over there". I have no problem with there not being food service, I have no problem with having to walk to the Coffee Club (right next door). I do have a problem with a hotel advertising it has facilities that it simply does not have. You make life hard for your staff who have to deal with disgruntled, tired travellers. Update your websites!

Ok but some basic maintenance would be good
The hotel was ok but the room wasn’t that great. The shower holder was broken and the curtains around it (why wouldn’t they install a box?) wasn’t enough to prevent the bathroom from becoming a flooded.

Short trip to Sydney requiring a clean, quiet overnighter. The Holiday Inn Mac Park was perfect. Great check in service- thanks Jamie. Comfy bed and joy of joys firm pillows! The only limitations- unable to turn air-con off while sleeping, thin doona and no bottled water. Otherwise great.

Awesome and conveniently located. Rooms are clean, dark for sleeping and quiet. Only issue I had was the a/c was too warm, and it wouldn’t reset to a cooler level when I tried to set a cooler level
