「What an absolute gem. Situated in a quiet quaint village Wayside is the perfect getaway. My room was clean and spacious with views out onto beautiful countryside. Lovely courtyard at the entrance with seating area. Continental breakfast wanted for nothing with fresh refrigerated milk, yoghurts, orange juice, cheese grapes etc. Lovely fresh bread, toaster, kettle and all you need to use. Shower room compact and spotless. I would definitely recommend」

「Really great, absolutely spotless room. Lovely shower. As some of the other reviews suggest, it could do with some hooks for coats and bath towels, and maybe a shelf for toiletries in the shower. 」

「I only stayed here for a couple of nights but found it to be a nice hotel in quiet and pleasant surroundings. Friendly, courteous staff, clean and comfortable rooms, as well as delicious breakfast. Well recommended!」

「The staff were all polite and helpful, although some seemed a little inexperienced. We ate in the restaurant one night, the food was well presented, but the pork belly was over cooked and the chips were over salted. We also asked for the coffee tray to be cleaned & refreshed. Someone had come in, left a large bag of tea/coffee sachets in the room, but not cleaned the cups & tray - I assume they got distracted & didn't finish the job.」

Friendly and attentive staff (each and every person we met across all areas had a very high standard of service) - super welcoming to dogs - tasty, quality food and drink (including a great quality, extensive breakfast offer) - bar with a nice vibe - beautiful grounds - excellent facilities. Room was clean and had good amenities. Excellent parking (with charging points). We will return!」

「An absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel Ocean. Such a lovely hotel, clean, modern and very well located on the sea front. Breakfast was really good with a great choice. My fave was the fresh fruit salad, the yogurt & compote so tasty. Although the sausages with the full English were good too! We cannot wait to go back.」

「The hosts were friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The room was clean, though in need of a few bits of maintenance (loo roll hooder rusty and broken, water in the sink due to the plug not staying out, loose socket by the bed). The bedding was clean and there were a good selection of pillows with different hardness. The mattress was a little thin but ok. The room got cold in the evening but there was an electric radiator in the cupboard. The front was within a few minutes walk so convenient. I...
