「Doesnt live up to the 9.2 rating but was perfectly acceptable and good value. We booked our breakfast for the following day and I asked if they had Lactose free milk. No... they didnt have it... but by the morning she had been out and bought some especialy for me. So 10 out of 10 for that. Good selection for continental breakfast and was even offered scrambled eggs on toast. The place is dated but was ok for a couple of nights. 」

「Lovely pub, friendly staff. We only stayed 1 night but the rooms were very clean and had everything you needed.
The breakfast was cooked beautifully and really tasty. We would have had diner there but unfortunately it was the Christmas market on within Tarvin that evening so no food was served other than a stall outside. Free parking for people staying in the pub.
Within a 15 min drive into Chester - Wouldn’t hesitate to go back. An enjoyable if not brief visit. 」

「We have no complaints on our stay, we only wished that it would’ve been for longer. Our room was extremely comfortable, breakfast was the best!
We will be back to explore the area and will definitely try and stay here again」
