The Cape St. George Light is a 72-foot high brick lighthouse which had originally stood for 153 years on St. George Island, Florida, until toppling into the Gulf of Mexico October 22, 2005. The pieces of the lighthouse were retrieved, and in April 2008, the light's restoration was completed.

"Check in was simple enough. They’ll email you details on check in. The inn was beautiful and so peaceful. We were very relaxed and appreciative of how quiet it was compared to a regular hotel. The mattress was not comfortable at all. We switched to sleeping toward the end of the bed and what was a little better. It’s warm in there and ceiling fan doesn’t help very much. We did find a standing fan in our closet and used it. It helped but we ended up sleeping with the top sheet only and skipped the comforter. The toilet is small so be aware of that. Regardless, we loved our stay and plan to stay there again. "
