I would recommend this Bed and Breakfast to anyone needing a place to stay in Apalachiacola, FL The historic home is fully been kept in it's original design and well maintained. The staff is there when you need them but not on top of you. The breakfast is out of this world and all home made. We met people while dining in the beautiful dining room where we ate together. It was a beautiful room we had and all the ammenities were fist class. A 5 star facility for sure.

I was freezing cold the entire 4 days we stayed. The rooms and general areas need a good hard clean. I was so cold my back stopped working! WE HAVE PICTURES! The Inn has always been one of my favorites, it is a beautiful piece of history. I have stayed at The Inn in the past and it was good, I enjoyed meeting the new manager very friendly very accommodating, check in is at 4 however Rebecca had me a room early that morning she was very helpful I had arrived early and she put me right in a room with no extra cost, very friendly and always smiling the next morning I got to enjoy breakfast with Michael, he did a great job omlets, bacon, toast, bagel, and fresh orange juice I enjoyed the food and took coffee to my room after breakfast just to spill it everywhere on the white linens ☹️ I did let Rebecca know about the spill she assured me it was going to be ok. My room was clean and comfortable I was able to get a later check out no fee thanks Rebecca and Michael y'all are great.

Thought I was booking a family run old hotel. Turned out no staff on site, needed app to open door, room ceiling leaked into my suitcase, broken arm on couch in lobby, porch furniture was dirty, internet went down so key app did not work, smelled moldy, etc. very disappointing.

I love the property, perfectly located within walking distance. Rooms very clean and cool. The Staff was excellent, Ms. Rebecca Jean was the highlight of the place, very professional and loves what she does. She gave great advice of the town and some good history. Ms. Rebecca was a great hostess, the hospitality of the city was great. I have already since I've been home and told everyone about Coombs. I'll be back definitely, Thanks....

Einer der schlechtesten Aufenthalte in USA seit Jahren. Die Suite an der Straße war sehr laut und die Türen nicht dicht, sodass wir jeden Tag mehrere Kakalken im Zimmer hatten. Im Bett hatte wir dann noch mit Bettwanzen zu kämpfen die uns zahlreiche Stiche hinterlassen haben. Dann viel auch noch 4 Tage vor eigentlicher Abreise die Klimaanlage aus . All dies haben wir dem Hotelmanagent in Englisch und per Mail mitgeteilt, ohne eine Antwort zu erhalten ….. wir haben aufgrund der unertràglichen Zustànde das Hotel gewechselt und sind ins Gibson Inn gewechselt. Dort war zum Glück alles sauber . Coombs House, nie mehr wieder.

Downtown Apalachicola. Could walk to anything. Property was lovely, real old Florida. We had a lovely room with a 4 poster bed and bay window. We had access to the first floor porch and my wife enjoyed reading out there on an old rocking chair. Breakfast was good and host cooked some bacon for us fresh. Love Apalachicola and would have loved to stayed in the property longer, but we were just passing through.

The Coombs Inn is such a unique and stunning place to stay. Having been built in 1901, it’s been maintained superbly. It did take us a minute to get the hang of the virtual check-in. I booked through Expedia and were receiving notifications via email and completely missed the check-in instructions sent directly from the hotel via text message. We were late checking in (around 9:30 PM). There was a number to call posted on the front door and I felt bad calling so late but a nice lady answered and directed us on where we needed to go. After we were set up with virtual check- in, it was very easy getting in and out of the hotel and our room. They do have two separate houses that are the Coombs Inn. They are located one street over from one another. We did not realize this and initially went to the wrong house. If I had checked my text messages prior, this would not have happened. So, thank you to the nice lady who answered the phone at 9:30 PM and calmly helped us! This is such a lovely place to stay, you will not regret your stay here.
