"The room was large and clean, with a good sized separate bathroom and WC. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. Housekeeping were good. Decor was basic. The coffee facilities in the room were only instant coffee sachets and a kettle, which was slightly disappointing. However, breakfast in the dining room was pretty good - a wide choice, regularly refreshed. There were proper coffee machines making decent coffee, although only two of them, so queues would develop. We used the sauna room, which was fairly small and the temperature of the dry sauna was insanely hot (100 degrees +), but this did seem to be reduced after we mentioned this. The hotel bar served a very basic dinner, which I wouldn't strongly recommend unless you really can't be bothered to go out. There are some reasonable restaurants nearby. The rooftop restaurant mentioned in the hotel brochure is not operating anymore, it seems. The location of the hotel is ok, but a good 30 minute walk into the centre of town. A U-bahn is nearby. The area it is in has a nice botanic garden and is near the Belvedere palace, but is otherwise fairly uninteresting - not somewhere you would seek out to visit apart from the garden and palace. Overall the hotel was reasonable, unpretentious but a little bit out of date and lacking in character. For one of the cheaper places to stay, it was reasonable value. Somewhere to stay if you are looking for somewhere functional and inexpensive."

"Disappointed that when we emailed the hotel 3 or 4 days before arrival to book dinner on the first evening along with the request for some sight seeing tips ! We never received a reply, on arrival it was obvious why , the restaurant was closed for lunch and dinner because “ they were taking an inspirational break “ breakfast was just okay !! However staff and location of the hotel ( for sight seeing ) were excellent, I don’t think a hotel should have a 5* rating without a fully working restaurant!!!!!! PS, the rooms were very clean and comfortable!"

"If you’re visiting Vienna for a day or a week this hotel is perfect! Everyone on the staff from the front desk to the coffee bar, to the rooftop bar/restaurant and everyone in between were amazing! Welcoming, kind, respectful, friendly! Great location for exploring the city and enough outside for a quiet evening. We can’t thank everyone enough. "

"Very clean and pleasant. Comfy bed, but it creaked when you got up. The breakfast, mmmh, not so good, rather poor, I think they could improve it."

"As soon as we got to our room, we realized the air conditioning wasn’t working. I called the front desk and they advised it was broken for everyone and would not be fixed for 1-2 days. No mention of this upon arrival. It was 78 degrees outside so no relief from opening the windows. I asked what they were doing for compensation and after talking to their manager they offer 36 euros. I told them we would have stayed elsewhere had we known and asked for our breakfasts to be comped but they refused. Poor customer service for a newly opened hotel. "

"What a wonderful hotel! Ideally located, in walking or tram ride distance to the sights. It’s rich in character, while having a contemporary feel. The staff were so friendly, from check-in to check-out, and the coffee they served at breakfast was excellent!"
