"My partner and I were really excited to spend a romantic getaway at the B Resort. We upgraded our room to an ocean view before arriving which we got, but then found out the pool would be closed all weekend for a wedding and were so disappointed. We were told it had been on the website but we hadn’t seen anything about it when we booked months prior. In addition, our room had no hot water, house keeping only came one of the four days we stayed there (and at 8am), we paid a $50 resort fee per day however there were no beach towels (even though the pool was closed!), no access to pool, had to give up our beach chairs at 5pm each day, and felt like we spent a lot of money for a very average experience. Only breakfast options were the Starbucks, drinks were expensive, and when we called for a late checkout (and to ask for housekeeping each day) no one answered the phone. We spoke to several other guests during our stay who also had disappointing experiences, some of which who had rooms that flooded, and were DOWNGRADED. We had ask them to lock up our bags since we didn’t get a late checkout and the staff got locked out of the room where they store the bags, and we waited twenty minutes while security used a wire hanger to open the door. We complained to guest management at the end of our stay and only got reimbursed for the resort fee. We had had such high hopes but have no plans to return to the B resort next time we are in Fort Lauderdale. "
