This island getaway is made up of 1,800 acres of conservation park, so you know you’re walking into pristine nature. And it's one of the few places on the East Coast of Australia where you can see the sun rise in the east of the island and set on the west.

After staying at this hotel for many years, this time round was dissapointing. The servicing of the room was neglected even after raising multiple times with reception. All other areas were fine, however will be looking to stay somewhere else next trip.

I got this shot early in the evening as the Milky Way rose above the ocean and I thought I'd give the image some scale by standing on the small sand dune with a light.
