「The room was clean & the breakfast was very good. But we were in the annexe which is a long walk from the reception. When I asked where the room was, the person at reception just waved vaguely to the right & said ‘it’s down there’. My husband & I are mobile & fine with walking, but we were hauling our suitcases a long way, so be warned of that. There is extra parking there, but we weren’t made aware of that. 「Very clean and great staff. The breakfast was lovely. Nice to find out that the meat from the brasserie is all halal, which meant I had a steak on our second night. Also the ravioli dish was wonderful too. Loved the food. The spa facilities are fantastic and not busy. Other guests were perfectly pleasant, didn't experience any issues considering we were the only non-white couple there and my wife dresses modestly. 「When I eventually managed to check in I found that my room smelt funny. The windows were open so I guessed that the smell may have come from the outside. There was no staff at the guest house for me to speak to. When I returned to the room after getting some food I found that the smell was coming from the damp mattress and the smell I believed was urine. I rung the contact number I had, but nobody answered.
