The staff and property were outstanding. Very comfortable and down to earth. Breakfast was excellent. We did do one dinner on the property that was awesome. Cant say enough about what a wonderful, restful and rejuvenating weekend it was.

Bear Mountain Lodge is a beautifully appointed, quiet, comfortable retreat surrounded by 180 acres of wilderness. The staff was wonderful in every way. Just 17 minutes away from downtown Silver City you will find a gem to stay at Bear Mountain Lodge. It is a historic property, excellently maintained and run in a very friendly manner. They offer breakfast and dinner, and the culinary experience was above standard and delicious. The rooms and bathrooms are very spacious, clean, and well appointed. The bed was comfortable, which is something not always the case at hotels. We were very pleased with our stay, and plan to return in the future.

Peaceful Retreat

So enjoyed our visit - this is a beautiful setting on 170 acres next to Gila National Park. Great hiking. Quiet location with no TV's for a peaceful retreat with great art. Food is great and staff is very friendly. Would love to visit again.

A medical issue raised its head when I checked in. The care and support I received went well beyond any call of duty. The place is beautiful, curated with quality art throughout. The room was like a luxurious home with a balcony over looking a vast expanse of nature. The breakfast was delectable. But above all of this, in the words of AmEx commercials — the sense of security and care was priceless. Such good good people. My deepest gratitude.
