This amazing sandstone monolith is a well known icon of a tiny little southern Indiana town called Shoals. It's a natural upright 'table rock' or monolith with a balanced stone on top. Leftover from glacier activity thousands of years ago. It's about 60ft tall and 20ft in diameter. As a child, my family would drive past this often to get to "grandmas house". I'd always beg my dad to stop on the way. It was good to see it again.

"The hotel was clean, but you can definitely tell it’s an older facility. The staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was average. It’s a typical hotel breakfast but the breakfast space was very clean and the service to the breakfast station was very attentive. I mean overall for the small town that the hotel is in we really had a great experience. It accommodated me and my family for the night and the bed was super comfortable."
