Hotel was nice with ample space within the room. Very comfortable bed and centrally located within the shopping districts. Food and dining options were plenty in the vicinity
Upon entering my room: dirt on the floor, lots of dust but also bigger pieces in several places; stains on the chrome toilet lever; and sticky stains on the desk
I even called to tell the front desk and ask if they were sure the room was done before my check-in and the answer from the front desk lady was "so what can I do about that now?" and "so you don't want a turndown service?" in an angry and annoyed voice.
I said it's all fine then and asked to just make sure it will be clean the next day - next day when I came back still dirt on the floor in several places, meaning it wasn't cleaned at all properly.
For a hotel chain that just had a major hygiene and cleanliness scandal in China last year, one would think they'd try a bit harder.
I've had dozens of trips tosl Shanghai, this was the worst hotel out of all I ever stayed.
There are tons of better options in this city in the same price range.
Excellent service! Friendly and professional, but not at all stuffy. Very family-friendly. Nice touches such as stuffed animal for my daughter and birthday treats at lovely breakfast and waiting for me in room at end of the day. Not the newest or most high tech property but beautiful and clean. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back!
IT is a very good property in the area, convenient to go everywhere within walking distance.

The staff are excellent. They are very responsive and professional, as one would expect at a Four Seasons and in Shanghai. The location is also ideal, near multiple metro lines and within walking distance from a number of great neighborhoods.
At the same time, the rooms themselves are a bit tired. The thing that struck me in walking into the room was the carpet. It was worn and there was a dark ring around the parameter of the room, under the baseboard, where dirt has collected over time. Some of the accessories like the bed skirt also seemed a bit old. All and all, I kept wondering why Four Seasons continues to keep its name on this property, without a renovation.
It wasn't a bad experience, and I might consider staying there at the future, though I expected more given the Four Seasons name.
It’s a very nice stay. Hotel has good quality in terms of the staff service, the manner how they are trained, the caring for the customers, the cleanliness of the rooms etc. Even though the hotel rooms look a little bit old, the bed is comfortable. And the location of the hotel is fabulous. Breakfast is good too.
Excellent attention and service. Room was clean and comfortable. All needs for business and family’s were fulfilled. Food was 1st class and delicious. Certainly will come back
Very nice two night stay. Great location. All’s well except check in is a bit off. The receptionist just check me in, took a dep and copied my passport , handed me my key and pre-ordered train ticket and said I am good to go. I just got off an early morning flight from Seoul having to get up at 5am that morning and is not at my best so I just left and go to my room. Half way through unpacking, I realize that the receptionist missed informing me regarding breakfast that come with the room and wifi. This is not such a big deal cause I will find out soon or later but given this is a Four Season Hotel I naturally set the par higher. First time this ever happen during a check in. I always booked room with breakfast and without fail, I’ll be inform that breakfast comes with the booking and where the breakfast spot is located snd also wifi information. Even at much lesser hotels. Ended up calling the front desk for info. Like I said not a big deal but I expected better from a Four Season. I’ll be checking back for two more evenings on the 19th after my trip to SuZhou. i’ll see if it is a norm or just a one time oversight with the hotel. All other services are as expected from a Four Season.
