"Was a big room with a comfortable bed. A good size bathroom with an enclosed shower stall. Breakfast was good. "

There were separate onsen areas, one open to public and the other just for the hotel guests. The public bath was open only for limited times, and the amenities were minimal."

"The location must be reached by taxi or bus and buses are infrequent. I recall staying in a very nice hotel next to Kyoto station with probably only 2000 yen more that this basic room. No idea why Kofu is so costly. "
