「Excellent 」

「It was hard to find staff, especially for lunch. Our room was down a weird warren of hallways up steps and down steps. The room and bathroom were attractive. The pillows were awful! They wouldn’t fluff. It was a heatwave when we were there. The cleaning staff left the heater on. I was hot and couldn’t sleep. There wasn’t a fan to help move the air. Dinner was expensive and bland. The shower was difficult to get in and out of.There were no extras in the bathroom you would expect from the price...

「The hotel is a few minutes walk from Mallaig train station, and the ferry terminal. There are two supermarkets and a few restaurants around the village so that one can easily get refreshments. I was amazed that the hotel is in a delicate traditional wooden decor, and has a relaxing garden terrace. I also enjoyed the window view a lot! The room was clean and it’s reception was excellent. I strongly recommend anyone who plan to visit any Hebrides islands, give the hotel a chance,.」

「Nearly £500 a night, but a complete lack of hospitality We stayed for one night at Hotel Eilean Iarmain, paying £496.57 for our suite and breakfast. While the setting is beautiful, the service and management response were completely unacceptable for a hotel at this luxury price point. At dinner (which was not included in the room rate), my wife's bread for her bouillabaisse was served burnt. By the time it was replaced she had finished the dish, had she waited it would have gone completely...
