No heating in the room. Staff brought additional bedding but radiator didn't work and the experience did not meet comfort expectations for the price. Towel rail did not heat up either. Other than sorry no offer was made to compensate for the inconvenience

The Marmalade Hotel is in a nice location that’s just a short walk (about 1/2 mile) from the center of Portree and harbor. The property is a nice mix of an older renovated traditional structure (which houses the hotel lobby, guest lounge, and restaurant) and a new modern structure where the guest rooms are located. The property as a whole has a clean, contemporary feel and is well cared for. The rooms are clean, contemporary and modest with nice amenities. I would stay here again when I return to Portree.

The hotel is well located just a few minutes walk into the centre of Portree. The rooms are clean, well furnished and comfortable. We found the restaurant evening menu very limited. By comparison the breakfast menu was good. The absence a butter knife in the place setting was surprising and missed. The bar/ restaurant is poorly designed with guests having to stand at the bar to be served amongst the diners. Overall a nice hotel, well situated with nice rooms.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Marmalade and wished we had more time to stay even longer. The food in the restaurant was some of the best we had on our 3-week trip, the views are incredible, beds comfortable, and facilities / grounds very clean and beautiful. 10/10 highly recommend!

The full stay was beautiful, staff really lovely and friendly, room was spotless and loved the surprise when I arrived after not having my bedding changed, unique and extremely thoughtful. Would recommend this hotel. We will indeed return, especially for the breakfast - haggis and perfectly poached eggs, delicious!

This building is beautifully situated with stunning views and lovely rooms. The restaurant was quite delicious, and again, had lovely views. We enjoyed the saunas although there was a technical problem on our second visit. The staff were friendly but not particularly professional or organised. There was a misunderstanding over a charge for what we thought was a complimentary upgrade (it was our honeymoon) which left things on a slightly sour note. All in all, still a nice stay in a very beautiful part of the world.

Superbe hôtel sur l’île de Skye! Nous avons profité de l’hôtel vu qu’en février il n’y avait pas grand monde. Le sauna était très agréable avec toute une pièce dédié à la relaxation, la chambre était très très bien et le personnel serviable et accueillant. Seul chose ne dirait, c’est le resto qui est terriblement cher avec une carte peu fourni. Le petit dej par contre était à la carte et était délicieux.

Absolutely beautiful place. The staff were amazing, especially Kerry at checkin. I didn’t get our host in the restaurant’s name, but he was also amazing! Answered all of my mom’s questions (which were a lot) and gave great recommendations.
