We were able to check in early which was a great relief after travelling all night. There is lots of safe parking. The hotel is a couple of minutes walk to the beach and the main street with lots of restaurants but was still quiet. All the rooms have their own sitting space outside the room overlooking the pool. Everything was clean. The shower had good water pressure and lots of hot water. The rooms had everything you need including comfortable beds, toiletries (shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner), a mini fridge, microwave, hot plate and dishes. Breakfast was scrambled eggs, rice with beans, fresh fruit, pastries, coffee and juice. There were beach chairs, umbrellas, and boogie boards for rent as well as beach towels and books. The highlight for sure was the pool! The pool was clean, large and had 2 sections. One section of the pool was more shallow and had easy steps and a ramp to get in. The shallow section was connected over a short wall to the deep section. There were pool noodles, balls, water wings etc for the kids. I would definitely stay here again and feel I got good value for the money!

We had a wonderful stay at Toro Blanco and would definitely return! The room was clean and spacious with all the necessities. AC worked great, microwave for leftovers and a mini fridge with a working freezer which was great for us since love ice cold water lol The pool was awesome and the hotel is just steps from the beach which was the highlight. Only a few things which would make this a 5 star rating. There were red ants that would make their way into the washroom and on the walls, nothing too crazy but I would recommend placing some ant traps for these to get rid of the issue. Also having the pool bar be functional would be a great addition even if just beer and wine. Have a water dispenser working well will also be a great addition. Those minor things being said, we would definitely return to this hotel on our next visit to Playa Coco!

Blanco Torro is a quaint little hotel. Ita not on the beach, but very close, a 3 minute walk. Each room has a little outdoor area with a couch and table and chairs. They provide a small and simple breakfast which was tasty. There was hot water in the washrooms. It was nice and quiet and didnt have much noise at all from downtown Coco

Wonderful place, warm, relaxed & inviting. Kelly at reception was so friendly & accommodating & the hotel has such a chill & relaxing vibe. Beautiful pool courtyard, with patios on each room with view of the pool. Fabulous location, a block from the beach. 100% recommend!!

This place is a gem! It may not be too spacious, but it has a great pool. The rooms each have a great balcony with chairs, table, etc. They have so many things one usually doesn’t find in a place at this rate that I was continually amazed – washclothes, boogie boards, surfboards, umbrellas, etc. And a friendly and helpful vibe to boot! Loved it!,.

We had a wonderful stay at Toro Blanco from Jan. 2-17/26. From the moment we arrived everyone was very welcoming and helpful. The staff are amazing , the rooms and outdoor spaces are comfortable and clean and I can’t say enough about the included breakfast and 24 hour delicious Costa Rican coffee! The location of Toro Blanco is perfect as well…. 1/2 block from the beach and 1/2 block from the main drag with great restaurants/ shops. I would highly recommend this hidden gem!

We arrived 3 hours early, but our room was ready, so we were able to check in early. The room was such a treat, I loved the large balcony. My favourite thing was to lay in the hammock and read my book. The location is great, a couple of minutes to the beach (towels, beach mats, boogie boards provided) and it’s one block off the Main Street. Good breakfast, all day coffee and water, and lovely staff. What’s not to like!

Breakfast good, staff amazing I was only sad cuz the pool was out still and didn’t know it. They offered to buy me a pass across the way but it was raining. Later when it stopped I kinda wish I had a pool but the hospitality made up for the lack of it. On that note when the pool is back the place will be 5 stars for sure!

The staff at this hotel were very friendly and welcoming. They lent us umbrellas for us to use while we stayed there because of the weather conditions. They gave us information on the best places to eat and made us feel at home. While the hotel is not a luxury resort, I was pleasantly surprised how big the hotel room was. It had a separate kitchen and couch and the outside patio was very large with furniture and a hammock. Will definitely stay again if we make it back to Costa Rica.
