Well designed, functional smaller rooms that have all the essentials; spa next door but comfortable indoor soaking pool with lounging beds & dry sauna; indoor only dining with good wine selection and menu; attentive and friendly staff--all at $$ pricing. A short walk to Saguera beach and Rodadero nightlife and street fair.

Excellent dinning and breakfast, great food, location, but its not in Santa Marta. In Rodadero, 15 minutes away. Two blocks to a not do good beach. But hotel is a 10

Hotel staff is very friendly but if you don’t speak Spanish, you will have a problem communicating because only one person speak English and she is there for one shift only. The area is quiet except for one feisty rooster that woke us up at 3:30 AM but you get used to it. Walking distance to the beach and shopping mall where you can safely use ATM. The hotel has a small indoor pool that is located at the Lobby – not the best location.

Good and not so good experiences. But still good.

The good: 1)The breakfast main cook/waiter and cleaning staff was outstanding professional. Very few like him. 2) Although there was no buffet the breakfast was good despite having few choices. 3) The room itself was very spacious with a cool design. 4) The pool was very nice complete with jacuzzi jets. 5) The staff was outstanding. The not so good: 1) The place is listed as being in Santa Marta but actually in Rodadero in a dodgy neighborhood about a 15 minute taxi ride away from Santa Marta. It's an 8 minute walk to Rodadero Beach with lots of restaurants. Not what we were looking for but it was ok. 2) The internet, which was important for me, was terrible. It had frequent disconnections whether or not I used a VPN. This happened with all of my and my girlfriend's devices and mobile phones. The manager did try to make my internet experience better by giving me a dedicated line for my VPN laptop but that didn't help much. 3) There was only one small window behind the TV that was not transparent, so there was no view. 4) Because the air conditioner was placed directly above the window it ran constantly and we either had to shut it completely off that made the room too hot or keep it running which made the room too cold. 5) The shower was terrible and trickled out of the faucet. It often ran cold at any setting. 6) The desk was poorly designed because it had no room to put your legs underneath. So using the desk for my laptop was very awkward and often uncomfortable.
