"I really liked staying at Casa Riviera. Very clean and well stocked. Small kitchen area with a descent size fridge, sink and a good coffee maker. Great location to walk to local restaurants and sites like the Santa Barbara Bowl. Private… parking and felt safe."

 ITH Santa Barbara Surf Hostel

ITH Santa Barbara Surf Hostel

8/10 Good
"The best thing about the property was the location! Not even a 2-minute walk to the Amtrak station. and a 7-minute walk to the beach. The staff was very helpful and went above and beyond. The kitchen is well-stocked, and rules are very clear. I didn’t eat the pancakes, but did have the coffee for breakfast. I bought food from Trader Joe’s, which was a mile away. This is a popular spot and reasonably priced. Expect other guests to be in all spaces 24/7. The dorm rooms are barely large enough to open a medium suitcase. Bring a lock. Since the dorm space is cramped, you will need to store your belongings in a locker outside of the room. The only thing I found was a minor irritant were the occasional ant or two in the lounge and the showers in the bathroom. I would still recommend a stay here if you like a community environment and a good value for your money."

Mar Monte Hotel, in The Unbound Collection by Hyatt

"I got great service since first showing up. The valet was very friendly and helpful. When going to the front desk, they gave my wife and I a free room upgrade for free. They ask gave great service and Kathleen took care of the 3rd party issues that I got the hotel from. They have a great and comfortable place. My wife loved the bed and the view from the balcony. It was also nice that the valet rented out the bikes for free. I highly recommend this hotel."
