Hotel Santa Barbara
Parking was easy. State Street is a barren mess. Expensive smart watch went missing even though the watch tracker showed it in the staff office long after checkout. If a guest's property is not safe in the hotel there is little reason to stay there.

Avania Inn of Santa Barbara
Avania Inn was a quiet and comfortable location when we stayed there for a concert at the Santa Barbara Bowl in April 2026. Staff was wonderful. The breakfast was good.
