The room was very clean. The hotel is aging, but the value was there for one night. Beds comfortable. Breakfast was surprisingly nice. Lots of oranges and bananas. And decent coffee. We walked on the beach and gathered a bunch of sand dollars. Walked to restaurants.

From the moment of arrival me and my husband were made uncomfortable. As my husband walked into the check in office he was greeted with a frown from a lady sitting in a chair behind the desk workers. As I signed paperwork the desk worker was calm. However, when my husband signed papers the desk lady became very shaky and frantic. The lady behind the desk continued to give my husband angry/disgusted faces until he acknowledged what she was doing then she stopped. Our hotel room floor was littered with sand upon arrival, the floor was not sweeped or vacuumed. You could feel the sand with every step. The air conditioner had stains on it. The only thing cool about this hotel was that it was right next to the beach. My husband is black with tattoos, the people in the office showed their emotions based on a fear of his appearance. My husband was well dressed and has a professional job. If you don’t mind getting scolded and people being afraid of you because of your skin color and perceived appearance then this is the hotel for you.

Staff were polite and helpful. Location is just several blocks from the shopping area as well as the pier. Only issue was plug is were loose and my device charger wouldn’t stay plugged in but I had an extension cord that did work with the outlets. Also, “breakfast” really shouldn’t be called that. Still, I’d stay again if only for the location.

We stayed 3 nights here and were very happy with our experience. Stayed in a partial ocean view room with balcony and it was a nice setup. Staff was very friendly and the complimentary breakfast each day and location was very convenient. Can definitely imagine staying here again during a future Pismo visit.

Breakers in all rooms were tripped. They needed resetting the microwave/ fridge _ blow dryer didnt work. I realized what it was and reset them. But not a big issue since there was ice and a bucket. Thank you for the stay

The location was better than I hoped!! Right by cinnamon rolls, local bar, restaurants, the pier and beach!! Tons of parking, great value for sure!!! Breakfast was grab and go but filled the void. Will definitely stay here again, very convenient.

Wonderful staff at the check-in counter, who were very helpful throughout our stay. The full breakfast was a bit misleading, since there was nothing hot. Bagels could be toasted along with packaged pastries, fruit and coffee were available. Room and bathroom were clean and adequate, but could use some updating. Beach access was a mere 50 steps from the hotel.

The hotel is quite old and it shows its age once your enter the room. You will hear even a pin dropped outside the room. The breakfast is very small options of grab-n-go, other than the location right next to the beach I would not have booked it and will surely won’t book it next time.

I would never ever recommend anyone to stay at this property . Waste of my money and had the worst experience of my life . This doesn’t look like a hotel or resort. Location is the only thing which is good else everything is worst . My room was at the first floor and the elevator wasn’t working . The stairs and the floor was extremely dirty . I have never seen such floors and stairs . Room was disgusting and the bathroom was even more disgusting . We reached late and had to check out early before time . I had kids , that’s why I had to sleep there because it was too late to find another property. None of us took shower because it wasn’t clean and the pillow covers were dirty . We don’t use them at all . The sink was in bedroom which I have never seen before. The room had some sort of smell . Which the staff said no , there ain’t any smell . Even after my complaint , they didn’t offer us another room . There is only one star , I wish there is zero . Don’t waste money on this property . Worst experience of my life .
